About Us:

CCS is a long-standing Somerset charity established in 1926. Its vision is for vibrant and viable communities with health, happy people and strong, sustainable businesses – the perfect place to live and work.

Across Somerset, our highly trained, professional Village, Community and Carers Agents work with individuals and communities to help bridge the gap between isolated, excluded, vulnerable and lonely people and services offered by statutory and voluntary organisations.

Our agents distribute the Love Somerset Crisis Fund we have established to help those who are in crisis to relieve the immediate situation. This could be buying food for someone who hasn't eaten for days, to paying for heating or a taxi to an urgent appointment. The people that benefit from this fund are highly vulnerable individuals or families that have no other viable option available to them. 

We need your help so we can continue to support those most in need, especially with the winter looming.
